Assistant AIM Specialist

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an Assistant Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) Specialist to take part in the preparation, assessment and publication of information required to enhance the safety and efficiency of flights in line with national and international aviation regulations. This position requires close attention to detail and accuracy to ensure the proper monitoring and implementation of aeronautical information management processes.

Job Description

  • Monitoring Türkiye’s AIP, its amendments, AICs and SUPPLEMENT publications,
  • Ensuring actuality of aeronautical information in AIP concerning our airport,
  • Carrying out flight permit checks, ensuring coordination with the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) and relevant units when required,
  • Carrying out of the checking, accepting, monitoring and distribution processes of flight plans and related ATS messages submitted by the relevant parties.
  • Publishing and monitoring NOTAMs and SNOWTAMs concerning our airport,
  • Monitoring valid NOTAMs concerning all airports and air spaces of Türkiye,
  • Monitoring valid SNOWTAMs concerning all airports of Türkiye,
  • Preparing and publishing Pre-Flight Information Bulletin regarding our airport,
  • Checking incoming messages via AFTN and taking the necessary actions,
  • Recording necessary datas into the HEAŞ Flight Planning and Monitoring System (HUPS),
  • Preparing statistical reports of domestic/international traffic records and sharing them with relevant authorities,

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration or Engineering,
  • Minimum score of C level (70 or above) in YDS or possession of an equivalent internationally recognized certificate accepted by ÖSYM,
  • Knowledge of aeronautical information management, air traffic and flight operations processes,
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, with strong reporting and data analysis skills,
  • High attention to detail, sense of responsibility, strong concentration and problem-solving skills,
  • Team player with strong communication skills,
  • Ability to adapt to intensive and stressful work environments,
  • Willingness to work in shifts,
  • Must provide a medical board report from a fully equipped hospital confirming no health issues that may prevent the continuous execution of assigned duties. For candidates who have taken the license exam, the medical report submitted must be valid for at least 12 months from the exam date,
