There are certain health rules that are
stipulated by the International Aviation Authorities and compliance
with thereof constitutes a necessity. Said rules have been defined
separately for airline companies and passengers traveling by
airways. Certain health rules that are applicable in our airport
and which you need to comply as a passenger traveling by airways,
include:
- Cognizance on the
contagious diseases that may be encountered in the destination
countries for those traveling abroad and having respective
vaccines applied by the Ministry of Health, General Directorate
of Boarders and Coasts, and airport units,
- Realization of the recommended leg exercises
by all passengers with special care to be applied by those
in the risk group (smokers, those with excessive weight
problems, and those taking birth control pills etc.) at
certain intervals to protect themselves against Deep Vein
Thrombosis, and standing up and walking.
- Having the spray medications to be recommended
by your physician in the events of common diseases such
as infection in the upper respiratory system, cold or flu,
with you,
- Passengers with known chronic diseases
notifying their condition to the employees of the airline
companies, and provision of a health report indicating their
condition, when required,
- Passengers, which do not have hindrances
in terms of flight but which require medical equipment available
for utilization during their travel, must notify the cabin
personnel of the situation,
- Passengers who become ill or require
medical intervention within the limits of the airport must
apply to the Airport Emergency Aid Unit, which may be contacted
via the employees of the airport.
Some of the illnesses that may constitute a
hindrance in flights:
- Anemia with hemoglobin
levels lower than 7,5g/dl
- Uncontrolled Cardiac
Inefficiencies
- Those suffering Cerebral
Hemorrhage or Stroke secondary
to Cerebral Hemorrhage within the last 3 days
- Contagious Diseases
(Tuberculosis, chicken pox, mumps, diphtheria
..)
- Acute Deep Vein Thrombosis
- Non-stabilized or non-treated
Fractures
- Continuing Gastro-intestinal Bleeding
- Heart Attack suffered
within the last 7 days
- Surgical Operations
realized within the last 5-10 days
- All Upper Respiratory
System Infections (Tympanum Infections, Sinusitis), Pneumothorax
- Pregnancy in excess of 36 weeks
- Psychiatric Diseases
( Panic attack, Aggressive actions.......)
- Lung Diseases (Asthma,
Chronic Operated Lung Disease, Pulmonary fibrosis....)
- Cyclic crisis
